A bookshelf designed to accommodate overhead storage in a crowded apartment. The rigging allows the user to raise and lower it evenly as needed.

The majority of materials are salvaged, including old window pulleys, wood scrap pieces of various sizes, bicycle quick-release seatpost clamps, and scrap steel. A spline of walnut around the edges added rigidity to the patchwork of scrap wood.
