Eliminate the problem instead of solving it

Cracker, by Bryan

A while back I heard about a life hack for how to avoid spilling crumbs when biting into a cracker at an art gallery opening: the solution is to inhale while taking a bite, sucking the crumbs into your mouth rather than letting them fall on a table, your clothes, or the floor.

Instead, you can just eat the whole cracker in one bite. Maybe this looks weird to people, especially if it has high toppings on it and you have to open your mouth wide, but some people care more about that than others.

It reminds me a bit of the (not actually true) story of how NASA Spent Millions to Develop a Pen that Would Write in Space, whereas the Soviet Cosmonauts Used a Pencil.
